Football. This year’s SSLW coincides with the football game on Friday. Please keep it in mind as you plan your activities, transportation, and restaurant reservations. If you haven’t booked your hotel yet, we suggest booking a room as soon as possible.

Upon Arrival

Early Check-in. If you arrive early and would like to check in and pick up your name tag, you can come to the Pre-Symposium Social at Cork and Craft between 5 pm and 8 pm on November 13.

Pre-Symposium Social. The Pre-Symposium Social—a time honored tradition—will take place Wednesday, November 13 at Cork and Craft on the first floor (Level 2) of the Arizona Student Unions (1303 E University Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85719). Please purchase your own food and drinks (see dinner menu). Happy hour is 3 to 6 pm. We will likely continue socializing at the venue until around 9 pm.

Registration. We will be checking people in during the Pre-Symposium social (5-8 pm on Wednesday), and at the registration desk in the Diamond Atrium on the second floor (Level 3) of the Arizona Student Unions (1303 E University Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85719). If you haven’t already, please register online before approaching the registration desk. You can check in with one of the SSLW Assistants (wearing the name tags with yellow lanyards) and pick up your name tag. Please have your online ticket/QR code ready for smooth check in. (If you have registered but don’t have the QR code handy, keep calm and tell us your name.)

Lunches. You can purchase your lunch at various places on Level 2 and 3 (first and second floors) of the Arizona Student Unions (Map of Student Unions). If you order take out food, feel free to bring them to the North Ballroom (with roundtables), but afterwards, please help keep the meeting space nice and tidy!
