Other amenities include: ATM, coin laundry, pool tables, ping pong tables, a gym, and a swimming pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Due to Taipei City regulations, hotels are not permitted to provide disposable toiletries in guest rooms. Please remember to bring your own toothbrush and other personal items. Intersection) and walk from there (about 8-minute walk).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Local Transportation<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forms of Payment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.easycard.com.tw\/en\/easycards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EasyCard<\/a> (a pre-paid transit card) at the airport MRT information desk. EasyCards are also available at convenience stores, and they can be recharged at MRT stations and convenience stores. A round trip MRT fare between TPE airport and the conference venue is about 400NTD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Another option is <a href=\"https:\/\/funpass.travel.taipei\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FunPass<\/a>, which can be purchased online and picked up at airport MRT information desks. If you are planning to use MRT and buses to get around, <a href=\"https:\/\/funpass.travel.taipei\/tour\/71d\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">5-Day Transportation Pass<\/a> is available for 730NTD. If you are planning to do some sightseeing in Taipei, the <a href=\"https:\/\/funpass.travel.taipei\/tour\/listAll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Unlimited Pass<\/a> includes access to MRT (but not busses) as well as admissions to various tourist attractions. Please note that the FunPass does not work on Airport MRT, and validity is counted by days (not hours).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Airport MRT has started accepting ApplePay, Google Wallet and Samsung Wallet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taipeitimes.com\/News\/taiwan\/archives\/2025\/06\/09\/2003838298#:~:text=The%20Taipei%20MRT%20is%20to,Samsung%20Pay%2C%20the%20operator%20said.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this October<\/a>. It also accepts QR code payments via Line Pay, AliPay, EasyWallet, iPass Money, iCash Pay, Jkopay, Taishin Pay, E.Sun Wallet, PxPay Plus and PlusPay. The new system is not yet available at some of the MRT lines, including the Green Line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Public Transportation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Taipei has an&nbsp;efficient and affordable public transportation system, including the&nbsp;MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), buses, and YouBike (bike-sharing system).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/english.metro.taipei\/cp.aspx?n=1BE0AF76C79F9A38\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MRT<\/a> (Mass Rapid Transit)<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The closest stations to the venue are&nbsp;Taipower Building (Green Line) and Technology Building (Brown Line).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The MRT operates from&nbsp;6:00 AM to midnight&nbsp;and is the best way to get around the city.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Every MRT stations provide a public restroom and public WiFi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.travel.taipei\/en\/information\/bus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Taipei Bus System<\/a><\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">The extensive bus network connects all parts of the city. Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/funpass.travel.taipei\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">FunPass<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easycard.com.tw\/en\/easycards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EasyCard<\/a> for quick and easy payment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.youbike.com.tw\/region\/taipei\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">YouBike<\/a> (Bicycle Sharing System)<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Taipei\u2019s YouBike system allows visitors to rent bicycles at various docking stations. You can rent and return bikes at different locations, and the first 30 minutes are free with an EasyCard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>Taxis &amp; Ride-Sharing<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/eng.taiwan.net.tw\/m1.aspx?sNo=0029050\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Taxis<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;are readily available and relatively affordable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uber.com\/global\/en\/r\/cities\/taipei-tpe-tw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Uber<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;operates in Taipei and can be used for cashless rides.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.thsrc.com.tw\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">High Speed Rail<\/a> (HSR)<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">If you are planning to take a side trip to Hsinchu, Taichung, Chiayi, Tainan, or Kaohsiung, you can take the High Speed Rail from Taipei Main Station. WiFi is available on HSR. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tip.railway.gov.tw\/tra-tip-web\/tip?lang=EN_US\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Taiwan Railway<\/strong><\/a>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">If you are planning to visit Hualien and <a href=\"https:\/\/tour.taitung.gov.tw\/en\/traffic\/taitung\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Taitung<\/a>, you can take a train from Taipei Main Station. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Parking<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Limited&nbsp;paid parking&nbsp;is available at the&nbsp;Howard Civil Service International House. Additional parking options are available at nearby&nbsp;public parking lots. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dining Options<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Some snack will be available during refreshment breaks, but no meals are provided at the conference, and outside food is not allowed at the venue.
