Presenter Confirmation. Confirm your intent to present early and contact the organizers with any changes. Presentation slots are assigned starting with confirmed and registered presenters. All others will be placed on a waiting list until the presenters have registered.
Cancellations. As a professional courtesy to other participants and the organizers, please notify the organizers as soon as you find out that you are not able to present your session as scheduled. The failure to cancel the presentation well in advance may affect your ability to present in the future. Cancelling your session and registration are two separate processes; cancelling your registration on Eventbrite does not affect Sched.com and vice versa.
Program. Check the online program for session title, author names, and 50-word summary. You can make minor adjustments and edits, if necessary. We recommend making your profile public and editing your profile to add your photo, institutional affiliation, and bio statement. You can also add your presentation slides or handout under Add Presentation (50MB max; see Instructions). Please contact the organizers if any presenters are missing or listed in the incorrect order. Adding new co-authors is not allowed after the proposal has been accepted (see below).
Additional Presenters. Requests to add co-authors after a proposal has been accepted are generally not approved. Exceptions may be considered only if the additional co-author has contributed significantly to the proposed project, has already registered, and will participate in the presentation.
Virtual Presenters. SSLW is designed for in-person presentations and interactions. Virtual or recorded presentations are generally not allowed except for designated virtual sessions or emergency situations. In order to participate, virtual presenters must also be registered.
Presentation Time and Room. The day before your presentation, check the program for the start and end time and room information and check the location on the floor plan. Please do not start your presentation until the designated time (even if the previous presenter is not there) because some people will be coming specifically to see your presentation. Please end your presentation promptly at the designated time.
Transition Time: Each session is followed by a preiod of 5 minutes or more to allow for the smooth transition from one presenter to another. As a professional curtesy, please stop your presentation immediately at the designated time and allow the next presenter to start setting up. If people wish to talk to you after your presentation, please take the conversation outside the room. There will be no session chairs or time keepers.
Internet Access. Eduroam is available at the conference venue. The system is not designed for large events, and access and speed may be limited depending on the collective usage. Do not count on having fast or reliable Internet connection during your presentation. Instead, embed screenshots and video recordings into your presentation slides.

Presentation Technology. Bring your own laptop computer or arrange to share one with other presenters in the same room. For colloquia and paper sessions, there will be a projector and a screen, or a TV monitor in the room. Bring your own A/V adapters (aka dongles) for HDMI connection. An HDMI cable is available in each room. For roundtable, workshop, and discussion sessions, A/V equipment will not be available. Please use your laptop and/or prepare handouts.
Printing and Copying Facilities. No printer or copying facility is available onsite. Please prepare your handouts beforehand. Copy machines are available at convenience stores. You can also make your handouts available online (see Instructions).
