Land Acknowledgment

We respectfully acknowledge that we are gathered on the traditional lands of the Indigenous peoples of Taiwan. There are 16 officially recognized tribes: Amis, Atayal, Paiwan, Bunun, Puyuma, Rukai, Tsou, Saisiyat, Yami, Thao, Kavalan, Truku, Sakizaya, Sediq, Hla’alua, and Kanakanavu. They have been stewards of this land for generations. We recognize their enduring connection to this territory and honor their cultures, languages, and histories.
