Participants from countries with visa exemption arrangements for Japan may generally enter Japan as Temporary Visitors and attend or present at the conference without obtaining a visa in advance. Participants from countries that require a visa should generally apply for a Temporary Visitor (Short-Term Stay) visa or follow the instructions provided by the Japanese embassy or consulate with jurisdiction over their place of residence.
Because visa requirements and application procedures vary by nationality and country of residence, we recommend consulting the official resources of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan as well as the website of the Japanese embassy or consulate serving your place of residence:

In addition to the invitation letter, you may find it useful to include in your visa application the description of SSLW2026 (in English and Japanese).
